Post‐procedural considerations
Immediate care
If any monitoring leads were moved prior to the CT, they should be replaced immediately. Some patients may experience side‐effects, which should be observed for after the administration of a contrast. These may include headache, nausea and vomiting. If an allergic reaction occurs, this must be treated and the allergy status of the patient amended. The patient must then be informed that they have had an allergic reaction (Chernecky and Berger [32]).
