Post‐procedural considerations
Continue to keep your and others’ physical wellbeing and musculoskeletal health in mind. For example:
- Avoid remaining in any one position for a prolonged period of time.
- If you have adjusted the height of a bed or other raised supportive surface while working with a patient, lower the supporting surface after the procedure for patient safety.
- Avoid remaining in any one seated position for a prolonged period of time.
- Alter your posture as often as is practicable. Frequent short breaks are better for the back than fewer long ones.
