Intra‐arterial administration of cytotoxic drugs
Definition
Intra‐arterial administration is the delivery of a cytotoxic drug to the tumour site by catheterization of the artery providing the blood supply to the affected organ. This allows a high concentration of drug to be delivered (Weinstein and Hagle [265]).
